Are you searching for traces of your ancestors who came from France, and more specifically from Savoy?
A short historical reminder: until 1860, Savoy was not part of France. It belonged to the House of Savoy, whose dukes became kings of Sardinia in 1720. It was French from 1792 to 1815, and became part of France for good in 1860.
Many Savoyards emigrated to the United States, Canada, Brazil, and Argentina.
